ACCESS AT TUGGERANONG ARTS CENTRE
Tuggeranong Art Centre (TAC) staff are committed to working together to make the Centre a place where people with disability feel welcome and safe. This commitment is formalised in our Disability and Inclusion Plan, which aligns with our Strategic Plan and guides us in our ongoing journey to cultivate a community where creativity and connection know no boundaries.
Parking
There is limited parking at Tuggeranong Art Centre.
Staff Parking: The front carpark is reserved for staff and performers only. This helps ensure safety and timely delivery of services. There is also one accessible parking space and a loading zone on the front carpark.
Visitor parking: If you require parking on site, there are 9 visitor parking spots and a loading zone in the side carpark on Reed Street. If this is full, there is paid parking available on the corner of Cowlishaw and Reed Street, a 1-minute walk to the Centre.
Accessible Parking: There is one accessible parking space in the front carpark. If you require accessible parking, please feel free to use this space. If you or someone in your party has mobility issues where access to the TAC carpark is essential, please contact the Centre on 6293 1443 and we will reserve a space for you.
Ramp and Lift Access
There is a ramp from the front carpark to the main entrance. The lift to the first floor, is located just inside the main entrance, on the lefthand side and opposite the stairs. The lift dimensions are: 2100mm (h) x 1450mm (d). The door is 880mm (w).
Theatre seating
Accessible seating is available in the back row of the theatre and can be booked when purchasing tickets online or at reception. If you are sitting towards the front, you may wish to ask a staff member to escort you through the downstairs entrance, due to the steeply-raked seating.
Hearing Access
There is a hearing loop and infrared hearing augmentation system installed in the Theatre for patrons.
All Access Toilets
TAC has left-hand transfer accessible unisex toilets located upstairs and downstairs. Gender-specific bathrooms are also available on both floors.
Assistance Animals
Assistance animals are welcome in all areas of Tuggeranong Arts Centre
Companion Cards
Companion Card holders are eligible for complimentary tickets for shows in the theatre.
Support workers can accompany their clients in all classes and workshops but cannot join in as a participant without paying a discounted course fee, which is at the discretion of the CEO.

Public Transport
Tuggeranong bus interchange is located about 1km away, on Pittman Street in Greenway. Rapid bus services link town centres and other key destinations, with frequent weekday services departing from Tuggeranong Bus Interchange between 7am and 7pm. Travel from Tuggeranong (R4) to the city in about 35 minutes, and Lanyon (R5) to the city via Woden in about 50 minutes.
Local bus services operate every 30 minutes or less on weekdays, connecting the region’s suburbs to local shops and the Tuggeranong Town Centre. This includes weekday peak services (180,181 and 182) that get commuters to and from the city and Parliamentary Triangle quickly.
