Fast Furniture explores the meaning of home and the fluid boundary between private and public space through the compelling lens of the miniature. Using the familiar language of flatpack furniture, the work invites reflection on how industrialisation shapes the way we construct, curate, and express identity. Flatpack design has transformed not only how we furnish our homes, but how we present ourselves within them—reshaping ideas of ownership, individuality, and self-expression. Developed in collaboration with Benjamin Claridge, the exhibition also features a series of garments printed with motifs inspired by everyday flatpack furniture, extending these ideas into the realm of the body and personal display.
About the Artists
Neon Blac is the Claridge siblings studio project. Part art, part design practice. They build character-led stories and bold graphics that expose the logic beneath the everyday: status, belief and belonging in the strange theatre of life.
