Details
Karen McSwan Silsby’s abstract paintings emerge from a deep impulse to impose structure on a world in flux. She confronts the turbulence of personal, political, and environmental crises, fragmenting the chaos with grids and nets, and stitching through the layers of paint, canvas and mixed media to deliberately demonstrate resistance and resilience.
