  • Young musicians aged 13-25 with any connection to Tuggeranong are invited to apply for the opportunity.

Application Guidelines

  • Applications are open now and close at Midnight on Thursday 1 August.
  • All applications must include a one-minute video of the band performing one track (original preferred but not necessary). The video must show all band members performing.
  • Any supporting images not uploaded with the online form must be emailed to battleofthebands@tuggeranongarts.com within 24 hours of submitting your online form.
  • Bands selected for the competition must be a part of all of the associated events and agree to their videos being published by TAC and Battle of Bands.
  • All video content and live performances must be suitable for an all age audience.

What next

  • Complete the entry form below. Please complete all sections, ensuring that you upload all of the requested items. Without these items, applications will become invalid.
  • Agree to the terms and conditions. Media consent is required, as your video will be shared on TAC and Battle of the Bands social pages
  • Successful bands will be notified on 2 August and will be given a 15-minute performance time slot at one of the Open Mic Heat on either Thursday 8 August or Thursday 15 August.

Your entry

As part of the application process, bands must provide a video of their band members introducing themselves and playing a song (original or cover). This video needs to be at least 1 minute in length. Please provide a link to the video (e.g. YouTube upload or Facebook/Instagram post). If you have any problems recording or uploading, please reach out to info@tuggeranongarts.com

It will be shared on Tuggeranong Arts Centre and Battle Of Bands social media accounts.*
It does not automatically mean you have been successful in your application.*
You are aware that TAC and Battle Of Bands have the right to refuse or decline an application if it is not aligned with our ethics values or is considered inappropriate in anyway.*
You acknowledge that videos containing any inappropriate or offensive imagery and/or language, including excessive swearing will not be accepted.*
You acknowledge that Battle Of Bands will monitor all social media throughout the campaign. Any negative commentary will be deleted and could lead to exclusion from the competition. Bands are expected to be respectful professional and professional at all times including on social media.*
