Sketchy Southside seeks to refine some of the artistic skills generally already present in participants and to develop new abilities with a range of mediums. Young people are supported in a safe and friendly environment to experiment with equipment and materials that they may not generally have access to. There is a focus on pro-social engagement and activities which promote and develop peer support structures. This group has a professional art tutor and a Messengers youth worker who develop supportive relationships with participants.
