Ngiaga (I Am) is a deeply reflective exhibition tracing the arc of existence from birth and living, to death and what lies beyond. Dewis explores the interconnectedness of all things, weaving personal narrative with broader cultural understanding. Grounded in First Nations perspectives, the work speaks to enduring spiritual, social and cultural connections to Country, community and self. Both intimate and expansive, Ngiaga (I Am) invites audiences to reflect on identity, belonging and the unseen threads that bind all aspects of life together.

This exhibition is supported by the ACT Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Arts Program.

About the Artist

Leilani Dewis grew up at Wreck Bay and attended Vincentia High School. She is an up and Coming first Nations artist and has been in exhibitions at the Shoalhaven Regoinal art Gallery and Belco Arts.
