An exhibition of conceptual adornment that transforms everyday memories into wearable landscapes. Using silversmithing, porcelain, and textiles, the works act as intimate maps of domestic life, translating personal and family histories into tactile, sculptural forms. Complementary installations take the form of quiet, altar-like spaces that honour daily rituals, inviting viewers to reflect on and recognise their own memory landscapes. Working at the intersection of traditional silversmithing and contemporary object-making, Lizette’s practice draws on the textures and rhythms of coastal life. Through the integration of precious metals, porcelain, and textiles, she explores the delicate balance between strength and fragility. The exhibtion is a Lanyon Art Prize award.
About the Artist
Lizette Richards is a multidisciplinary artist and educator based on the NSW South Coast, working at the intersection of traditional silversmithing and contemporary object making. Drawing inspiration from the textures and rhythms of coastal life, her practice explores the relationship between strength and fragility through the integration of precious metals, porcelain, and textiles.
